The ethos of our service is to make counselling as widely available and affordable as possible, no one is excluded from counselling because of cost.
We are particularly keen to recruit members of the community who have skills/expertise in business management, fundraising and marketing and join our current experienced board of Trustees and staff, adding to and enhancing our dynamic approach to supporting our local community, could this be you?

We always welcome expressions of interest from people who would be interested in becoming a Trustee of Worthing Counselling Centre.
The main function of the Trustee Board is to govern the charity and to determine its strategic direction. The Trustees have a responsibility to ensure financial viability and compliance with relevant legislation. The Board strives to maintain an appropriate balance of skills and expertise at its disposal, and currently would be particularly, though not exclusively, interested in people with experience of property and HR. Residence and established contacts in the Worthing area would be an advantage but not essential.
The trustees meet four times a year and on other occasions to address specific subjects where necessary. Trustees are also encouraged to lend their specific expertise by way of advice and mentoring to the small part-time management team, and have a visible presence amongst the volunteer counsellors and staff.

We have recently set up a Friends of Worthing Counselling Centre, as we would like to connect further with the people in our community.
We are a local charity committed to the people of Worthing and we want to develop our services further.
We rely on donations to enable us to offer low cost counselling and this is where we would value your help and support.
We are looking for ‘friends’ who have ideas, energy and time to offer to us in our fundraising efforts. We currently have stalls at local events and have run fundraising evenings and events and would like to do more.
We would love for you to offer fundraising ideas, help to organise or run events, or simply raise our profile in the community . There is no minimum commitment required, just as much as you are able to offer. So if you are a great organiser, want to help out at events, have ideas to share or just want to be part of a local charity please get in touch.
