Most frequent questions and answers

A counselling session is 50 minutes.

Sessions are weekly, on the same day at the same time 

No, you will have one counsellor that will be allocated to you

No when you start counselling you may not know what the problem is, your counsellor will help you identify what you can work on.

No you and you counsellor decided how many sessions you want and you can stop counselling whenever you want to. 

Counselling is confidential within a few limitations, such as “If your counsellor thinks that you or another may be at risk of serious harm”.  This would be explained to you at your consultation.

This is different for every person and depends on your individual needs. 

Counselling can bring up difficult feelings but it is a safe place to do this and will enable you to move forward positively. 

No we work one to one in our sessions but if you feel anxious about coming alone, we can support you to enable you to access counselling.
